Who owns this site

This site belongs to the people who run SoftPro Water Systems (softprowatersystems.com) and Quality Water Treatment (qualitywatertreatment.com). SoftPro sells its own line of softeners and salt-free conditioners. Quality Water Treatment, founded in 1990 according to its own site, sells SoftPro systems along with Fleck and Pentair Fleck softeners. When you buy one of those products through a store link here, the business that owns this site makes money from the sale.

Why our products rank first

We rank SoftPro products, and Fleck and Pentair systems as sold by Quality Water Treatment, at the top of every list where they fit. We believe in them, but we are not neutral about them, and you should weigh our picks with that in mind. That is why a short ownership note sits at the top of every review, roundup, comparison and commercial page, and beside every store button.

Below the owned picks, other brands are ordered on their published merits. If a competitor suits your water better, for example because it has a third-party certification you want or a flow rate you need, our reviews say so. You can read every one of them on the reviews page.

How we review

Each review is built from information anyone can check:

• Published specifications from the maker or seller: grain capacity, flow rate in gpm, resin type, valve type and hardness or iron limits.
• Certifications exactly as the maker words them, including their scope. If a page lists a certification without naming the standard, we say that.
• Warranty terms in the maker's own wording.
• Prices from the product page, as of October 2026, given as "from" the lowest current variant.

We do not lab-test units, install them for long-term trials or measure their performance ourselves. Where a fact is not published, we write "not published" rather than guess.

What we will not do

• Publish fake reviews, invented customers or made-up quotes.
• Give star ratings or scores to our own products, or to anyone else's.
• Accept payment or free products from other brands in exchange for a placement or a better position.
• State a competitor fact that does not come from that maker's own published information, or make negative claims about a competitor that its own pages do not support.
