About Water Softener Reviews
Water Softener Reviews is written by a team of water-treatment people who size, sell and support softeners for a living, for homeowners and facility managers comparing systems.

Who we are
The WSR team works in residential and commercial water treatment: sizing systems from a water test, answering installation questions and helping owners troubleshoot after the sale. We write the way we would explain a system across a kitchen table. That means numbers first, in grains per gallon, ppm, gpm and dollars, and plain words about what a product will and will not do.
We are the same team behind SoftPro Water Systems and Quality Water Treatment. That shapes what we recommend, and we explain it in full on the ownership disclosure page. We do not publish author names or personal profiles; the guides are a team effort and are checked against the source pages before they go live.
How we compare softeners
Every comparison starts with the same questions a good installer asks:
- How hard is the water, in gpg, and is there iron, manganese or sulfur?
- How many people live in the home, and what is the peak flow in gpm?
- Is the supply a private well or city water with chlorine or chloramine?
From there we line up what each maker publishes: grain capacity and how much of it you get at an efficient salt setting, service flow, resin type and crosslink, valve type, warranty terms, certifications in the maker's exact words, and the price as of October 2026. If something is not published, we leave it out or say so. We do not run lab tests or give star ratings.
If you are new to softeners, our guides to how a water softener works and sizing are good places to begin, and the FAQ covers the short questions.
How the site is funded
The site is paid for by the business that owns SoftPro and Quality Water Treatment. When a reader buys an owned product through one of our store links, that sale supports the site. We don't run display ads or sell placements, and other brands cannot pay to appear here or to move up a list. Prices and specs are as published on the date shown and can change; the terms of use explain how we report them.
